Worker location and PPE, in real time

Zone beacons, helmet and harness beacons and the SenseZero app alert managers instantly to hazard-zone entry, missing PPE and SOS.

SenseZero Real-time Safety Monitoring is built around the SenseZero app on each worker's smartphone. Location beacons installed in each zone show where workers are and when they enter hazard zones, and beacons attached to helmets and harnesses confirm PPE wearing. Hazard-zone entry, missing PPE, SOS (emergency, fall, warning, gas), gas alarms and heat/cold conditions are sent to managers immediately, shown live on the control center map and event log, and access and wearing history is recorded automatically.

How it works

Beacons detect, the app relays, managers see

No proprietary terminal — the SenseZero app on each worker's smartphone acts as the hub.

  1. Zone location beacon

    1Zone location beacons

    • One or more per zone
    • Detection radius 3 m by default (3–50 m)

Determine which zone a worker is in and whether they have entered a hazard zone.

  2. Helmet beaconGas detector4-gas detector

2Worker app · PPE beacons · gas detector

    • SenseZero app (worker smartphone)
    • Helmet and harness beacons
    • Gas detector (optional)

PPE beacons only confirm wearing; location comes from the zone beacons.

  3. Control center screen

    3Manager alerts · control center

    • Alerts to managers and workers
    • Control center map and event log
    • Access and wearing history

Hazards are alerted instantly, shown on the map and event log, and recorded.

Key features

The three things a site needs to know first

Hazard-zone entry and exit alerts

Location beacons installed in each zone detect when workers enter or leave. When someone steps into a hazard zone, the worker and the responsible managers are alerted right away.

  • Detection radius per zone (3 m default, 3–50 m)
  • Instant alerts to the worker and responsible managers
  • Per-zone access history recorded automatically

PPE wearing detection

Beacons on helmets and harnesses show wearing status as not assigned, not connected or worn, and a PPE-violation alert is sent when gear is not worn.

  • Helmet and harness status per worker
  • PPE-violation alert when gear is not worn
  • PPE beacons confirm wearing only — location comes from zone beacons
Dashboard worker status — zone, clock-in time, helmet and harness wearing status

SOS emergency calls

Four SOS types — emergency, fall, warning and gas — raised manually or automatically. Managers are alerted at once and can see the worker and zone in the control center.

  • Manual — the button on the app or beacon
  • Automatic — a helmet or harness beacon detects a fall
  • Automatic — a gas detector detects a dangerous concentration
Control center emergency panel — SOS worker, situation details, recent vitals and SOS location on the map

Also included

  • Gas detection

A BLE gas detector linked to the app collects readings, and when it alarms, managers are notified through a gas alarm and a gas SOS.

  • Heat and cold alerts

The server checks the weather for each zone and sends caution, warning and danger alerts with rest-time guidance to that zone.

  • Automatic access and wearing records

Zone access, PPE wearing and attendance history are recorded automatically as safety evidence and for later review.

Control center

The whole site on one screen

Managers see the whole site in real time from the dashboard's control center, and each alert reaches the people who need it.

SenseZero control center — 3D site map, worker cards, emergency panel and live event log
SenseZero control center · demo data (Korean UI)
  • Live map

Worker locations, status and detection ranges by zone on the map

  • Worker status

PPE wearing and connection status, with 'not receiving' for workers whose app stopped reporting

  • Event log

SOS, hazard-zone, PPE, gas and heat/cold events as they happen

  • History and traces

Zone access, wearing and attendance history, plus movement traces

What changes after deployment

  • Immediate awareness

See hazard-zone entry and missing PPE without walking the site.

  • Faster response

Respond to SOS and gas alarms based on where the worker is.

  • Automatic records

Access, wearing and attendance history is kept automatically as safety evidence.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a dedicated device?

There is no proprietary terminal. The SenseZero app on the worker's smartphone acts as the hub, used together with location beacons in each zone and beacons on helmets and harnesses. Gas detectors and smartwatch (health data) integration can be added as needed.

How are location beacons placed?

A location beacon is installed in each zone you want to monitor. The detection radius is 3 m by default and adjustable from 3 to 50 m; sites today mostly run at 3 to 5 m. We provide a free placement plan based on your site drawings.

How does it work for falls and emergencies?

There are four SOS types — emergency, fall, warning and gas — and both manual and automatic SOS are supported. Workers can send an SOS with the button on the app or beacon, and an SOS is raised automatically when a helmet or harness beacon detects a fall or a gas detector detects a dangerous concentration. Managers are alerted immediately and can see the worker's location and zone in the control center.

What about batteries and charging?

Workers charge their smartphones as usual. The beacons use low-power BLE, so battery replacement is infrequent and maintenance is light.

What happens if the connection drops?

The app keeps any safety events that occur while offline on the device and sends all of them once it reconnects. Each event is signed per device to prevent tampering. Workers whose app has stopped reporting for a while are shown as 'not receiving' on the dashboard.
